Binnen Brouwersstraat is located in a beautiful area of the northern Jordaan, a small side street at the top of the Keizersgracht canal, between the Brouwersgracht canal (voted the most beautiful street in Amsterdam) and the Haarlemmerstraat (voted the Best Shopping Street in the Netherlands 2011) which features a huge range of restaurants and cafes, speciality shops and an art-house cinema. The famous weekly organic food and flea markets at the Noordermarkt are just around the corner. The quirky boutiques of the 9 streets and the Jordaan are within easy walking distance, as are the green spaces of the Westerpark.

ARRIVING BY PLANE OR TRAIN:
Directions from Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Centraal Station (7 min walk)
A taxi from the airport to the apartment takes about 25 minutes and costs around €37.
It’s also very easy to reach the Multatuli Apartment by train and foot. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is only 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam Centraal Station (trains leave every 5-15 minutes). We are only 7 minutes walk from the station.
Here are the walking directions:
Come out of the station on the city side (the side by platform 1, not platform 15 – if you see lots of water it’s the wrong side!) and turn right. Go past the multi-storey bicycle park and Ibis hotel and turn left over pedestrian bridge, then follow path right, under bridge and turn right onto shopping street called Haarlemmerstraat. We are 5th street on left – Binnen Brouwersstraat.
ARRIVING BY CAR: Parking Information
Parking in central Amsterdam is hard to find and expensive. It costs €7.50 per hour on the street from 9am-midnight (Sundays noon-midnight).
The P1 underground garage in front of Centraal Station costs €30 per day – or €20 for first 24 hours if you book online.
We recommend the Park and Ride at Zeeburg. It takes half hour total to go there and return and it costs €1 per day (max 4 days) if you arrive after 10am. You can come back on the fast tram to Centraal (make sure to keep your tram tickets to get the cheap rate). It’s about 10 minutes on the tram and then 7 minutes walking to the apartment from the station. You can bring the car here first to unload your luggage and park briefly across the street in front of the garage.
